Bruce Lee (born Lee Jun-fan; November 27, 1940 – July 20, 1973) was a Hong Kong-American martial artist, actor, and filmmaker. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential martial artists of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century. His films and philosophy bridged East and West, reshaping the way Asians were represented in American cinema.

Lee founded his own martial arts philosophy known as Jeet Kune Do — "the way of the intercepting fist" — emphasizing adaptability, efficiency, and freedom from rigid form.
